The 121 freshmen of Ehime University Senior High School received a lecture from Dr. Ohashi, President of Ehime University.

The 121 freshmen received a lecture from Mr. OHASHI Yuichi, M.D., Ph.D., President of Ehime University on the subject of “Let’s think about near-sightedness” during the Iyo Studies class. The Iyo Studies classes are part of the super global high school curriculums, which are lectured for 10th graders consisting of fieldwork, group learning and lectures by professors of Ehime University. One of the objectives of the classes is to improve students’ problem-solving ability—the ability to discover and analyze various problems especially with the local community. Mr. Ohashi lectured about near-sightedness from his specialist standpoint and in an easily understood way using photos and videos. His lecture in an academic atmosphere aroused the intellectual curiosity of the freshmen who had just entered this high school.
