In the theme of “Improve skills of Japanese Proficiency”, students tried tackling past exam questions of “the third level of the Japanese Language Examination”. In an increasingly globalized today, a high level of communicative proficiency is required so as to be accepted in the world. Learning Japanese language is the first step to improvement in all linguistic proficiency, including foreign languages. Six skills of vocabulary, grammar, meaning of a word, Chinese character, honorific expression and orthography are essential to using Japanese language in an appropriate manner. Measuring these six skills made students notice their own favorite subject and alternatively their weak points. It was a good chance to re-evaluate their own Japanese linguistic proficiency. Based on the result of this examination, students will aim for the third grade of “the Japanese Language Examination” in June.
