The two professors lectured the students on Japanese language in the globalization. Professor Akiyama related that The Japanese Language Examination is the certificate examination which assesses not only a particular domain such as kanji and vocabulary but also comprehensive proficiency for using Japanese language in an appropriate manner. Many companies also evaluate The Japanese Language Examination. Professor Shimizu described the current situation of Japanese language education in the world and of studying abroad. He showed some examples of Japanese language that we often use but cannot explain exactly. The students seemed to realize the high interest of Japanese language in foreign countries and the profundity of the Japanese language.
